Why Spray Fitted Furniture?
Orange pine bookcases, dated oak wardrobes and yellowed white units are almost always a colour problem rather than a quality problem. The carcasses are sound, the doors hang properly, and the joinery is better than most of what you would replace it with.
Spraying gives an even, hard-wearing finish with no brush marks and no roller texture, across doors, frames, carcasses and drawer fronts alike. It is the difference between furniture that looks repainted and furniture that looks replaced.

Protect & Prepare
The room is sheeted and masked, then everything is degreased, sanded and primed. Dark timber gets a stain-blocking primer so nothing bleeds through.

Low-odour coatings applied in controlled coats, with proper curing time between them, building a smooth even finish.

Handles and hinges go back on, we walk the job with you, and all sheeting and masking leaves with us.

Furniture Spraying FAQs
Can you spray furniture in my home?
Yes, and that is how most jobs are done. We sheet and mask the room fully, use low-odour coatings, and take the protection away with us when we finish.
What does furniture spraying cost?
It depends on the number of doors and drawers, the material, and the amount of preparation needed. Quotes are free and given after we have seen the units. It is consistently less than replacing fitted furniture of the same quality.
What kind of furniture can be sprayed?
Solid wood, MDF, veneer, laminate and previously painted units all spray well. Each needs a different preparation and primer, which is part of what we assess when quoting.
How long does it take?
A set of fitted wardrobes or a pair of alcove bookcases is typically two to three days, including preparation and curing time between coats.
Will it chip or scratch?
The coatings cure hard and stand up to normal daily use. As with any painted furniture a sharp impact can mark it, but it is considerably tougher than a brushed finish.
Can I still use the room while you work?
The room being sprayed needs to stay clear while we work and while coats cure. The rest of the house carries on as normal.
Do you spray the inside of cupboards?
We can, and we will price it in if you want it. Many people choose to spray only what is visible when the doors are shut.
Can you go from dark wood to a light colour?
Yes. Dark timber needs a stain-blocking primer and usually an extra coat, but the result is a clean, even colour with no bleed-through.
