uPVC Spraying FAQs
How long does sprayed uPVC last?
With proper preparation and the right coating system, sprayed uPVC holds its colour and finish for 10+ years without fading, peeling or cracking.
What does uPVC spraying cost?
It depends on how many frames you have, their condition and how accessible they are, so we do not quote blind. Quotes are free and given after we have seen the job properly. As a guide, spraying typically comes in at around 75% less than replacing the same windows and doors.
Will the paint peel or chip?
Not when it is done properly. The coatings we use are formulated specifically for uPVC and expand and contract with the material rather than sitting on top of it. Preparation is what makes the difference, which is why we never rush it.
Do you have to remove the windows?
Not necessarily. We can spray your windows while they’re still in place, which is usually the more cost-effective option. However, removing them can give us better access to harder-to-reach areas and allows for a more complete, high-quality finish.
How long does a typical job take?
Most domestic properties are completed in one to two days depending on the number of frames and the weather.
Can you change the colour completely?
Yes. White to anthracite grey is the most common request, but we can match any RAL colour. Going lighter is also possible, it just takes more coats.
Is the finish weatherproof?
Yes. The coatings are UV-resistant and water-repellent, and are designed for UK weather.
Will it affect how my windows open and close?
No. The coating is thin and applied precisely, so hinges, seals and mechanisms are unaffected.
